Yes, i also think that it is funny that i havent posted on my blog in almost a month and now all of a sudden i post three times within 8 hours.
okay so now that is over with, i want to talk about my yoga classes. :)
this evening i taught three yoga classes in a row, which in this weather i thought was going to kill me. they didnt though, in fact i would almost dare to say they gave me energy. something happened to me this weekend, i feel like it must have been the weather. the stunning thunder and lightening storm on saturday, my bike ride and savasana under the stars on sunday. mother nature infused me with some of her radiance. i felt like today i really came into myself as a yoga instructor, or began the process at least. i taught a gentle vinyasa class, where we all just listened, shhh........., quietly, to what our body was saying. woah. it was cool. right away after the class was over, i got positive affirmation from the students. i am not bragging, just saying that there was a force that wasnt me working and the students noticed it too. after that it was like my tongue was uncorked and words came flowing from my mouth. my second class, a hatha class, was payed homage to the elements. earth, water, fire, air. i didnt mention eather it would have been too difficult to explain. again the whole class connected with what i was saying, they really seemed to get the concepts, related through our asana, to the different elements. another interesting fact, the second and third class that i taught students from the previous class stayed for a double, two classes in a row!
all and all it was really a cool experience. i am excited for tomorrow and what other exciting things are going to happen. that is all i wanted to say, time for a cold shower and then bed, maybe i will be able to sleep through the night, it is very hot out right now.

the most epic bike ride of your life (or maybe mine)
so i havent been posting on my blog a lot recently because i have been fairly busy and not really near a computer. i realised this the other day when my friend Ed called me and asked what i was doing because, 'it always seems like your running around doing something'. it is true i am always running around doing things, and i really love my life for it. for example the exact same day that ed called i was preparing to embark on the longest bike journey of my life. it was an epic quest from bute and barclay to ocean point, a subdivision right on the water 1/4 of the way to squamish along the sea to sky highway. i rented a bike for my adventure a alloy frame OCR Road Bike, with a shimano break and 27 gear system. i borrowed monicas shimanio clip in shoes and was officially ready for the journey. thank you a lululemon, my 3 years of employment there left me with multiple bike appropriate outfits to wear.
sherry and i biked along marine drive (the link to our adventure is down below) along the water most of the way and i was so beautiful. we were in the shade so the sweltering sun did not bear down on us and my favorite elements, air and water were along side me the whole way there. :) we met a few friendly bikers along the way, and made it the whole way there only stopping once for 5mins to drink some water. this was also my first ride with clips on my shoes and it was amazing! how can i go back to my old steel frame bike with cages i am not really sure. i will have to though because the bike that i rode out there was worth at least $1500. too much for this yoga instructor. the clips and 27 gears helped my climb all the hills! once we got to our destination a beautiful ocean front home, the only glitch of the journey i fell over in the driveway! :) it was great! i think that i lied on the ground for 5mins. then after some snack and water we jumped in the ocean! oh it was so nice after such a long ride, we were so warm.
then sherry taught me how to do a back dive. that is right folks diving into the water backwards not forwards! and i can do it! i cant do a forwards dive but surprisingly enough they backwards ones are a much easier undertaking. :)
after that we ate food with sherry's mom, and did yoga under the stars! it was the best savasana ever! sherry, her mother and i stared up at the sky, which is much more beautiful out there for at least 45mins. after which we packed up our bikes and headed home.
I realised yesterday that we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful city where we can go on these amazing adventures and swim in the ocean. i loved the ocean out there, much nicer than english bay i can assure you. yesterday was the best day i have had in a long time. :) i love my life and my friends. as we were looking up the at stars we saw two shooting starts and i wished that i would always have such great friends in my life. i really am tremendously lucky.

the blog of a canvasser/yogi/person just trying to get by
I think in images, and some times when I have a picture in my head I have a hard time articulating it. What I see as important in the image and the way that I choose to describe will mean a different thing to each person that reads my words. At two points during my day, I wanted to take a picture, I have decided that I need to bring a camera with me to work from now on. The first image was of a man with his dog leaning against the yellow display at at camera store. It was just a classic example of man and his dog, taking a break in this world as the rest of us walked on.
The second image, was of me and one of my canvassers standing outside a salvation army, in red cross vests, while a homeless man sleeps in the ledge of the opposite window. My coworker and I were both leaning against the window with one foot up looking in the opposite direction of the homeless man. People with eyes closed walking by ignoring the very pittiful man sleeping on a ledge no wider than the laptop I am typing on right now.
At one point I went to go and buy the man a coffee, I got him some cream and sugar to go with the drink. I gave it to the man and he seemed confused, and then for the remaining 30mins I was in that location he didnt tuch the drink. It started to rain much harder (we were undercover) and the man fell back asleep and knocked over his cream. The liquid ran across the side walk and then blended in the to water on the side of the road turning it a lighter shade of grey.
I guess that was three images.
I wish I could have taken a picture of this man, I guess it is just out of vanity's sake that I wanted to document the image. It would not have benifited this nameless man in any way. I would have put the picture up on this blog for you all to see. Then you would all think that I am artistic or caring or whatever adjective that you would attach to me.
I am listening to Ruthie Foster right now and looking up cameras on craigs list. If you happen to read this post you are lucky, it is raw and unedited. I didnt even do a spell check. My thoughts uncensored.
